The Office of the Provost is excited to announce that the U.S. Department of Education has awarded »ÆÉ«²Ö¿â (RU) a 3 year grant to establish the »ÆÉ«²Ö¿â Center of Excellence for Veteran Student Success (RUCEVSS).

Barbara Young ('93) was named regional 2022 Teacher of the Year for Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI). Teacher of the Year honors outstanding, innovative educators who lead by example with an unmatched level of dedication to supporting all students.

The SHRM (the Society for Human Resource Management) awarded a 2021-2022 Outstanding Student Chapter Award designation to the »ÆÉ«²Ö¿â SHRM Student Chapter for providing superior growth and development opportunities to its student members.

The 37-year-old Brown, a McDonald's All-American and Illinois Mr. Basketball at Proviso East High School and one of the most accomplished and popular athletes in University of Illinois history, brings two decades of collegiate and professional basketball playing and coaching experience after most recently serving as an assistant men's basketball coach for the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) since 2017.
